In some regions of the world you will find hard water that contains more minerals than soft water. If you brew with hard water, over time you will find lime scale deposit in your coffee machine, Jetboil or water kettle. Descale your gear regularly to keep it in mint condition.
For general descaling use:
Always make sure to follow safety instructions on the box.
Dissolve One 16g Tablet to 0,5 Liter of warm water. Follow instructions of machine or device manufacturer.
OCC Flexy descaling instructions:
Fill water tank with 500 ml. hot water and insert one descaling tablet.
Position a heat resistant glass or a coffee cup on the drip tray
When tablet is fully dissolved in the water press the button for a large cup of coffee.
Let the descaling solution work for 2 minutes.
Press the button for a large cup of coffee again to let fresh descaling solution pass through the machine.
Let the descaling solution work for another 2 minutes.
Repeat the process until all descaling solution has run through the machine.
Empty the water tank for remaining descaling solution and rinse inside of container with water.
Empty drip tray and rinse with water
Rinse machine two times each with a full water tank of 600 ml. clean water
We recommend that you descale your coffee machine every 3 months.
